Uses of quartz yarn (melted with quartz rod)

Quartz yarn has properties such as high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, high strength, and good insulation. Quartz fiber yarn is currently a flexible inorganic material with extremely low dielectric properties and extremely high temperature resistance. It can replace alkali-free glass fiber, high silica fiber, basalt fiber, etc., and can partially replace aramid, carbon fiber, etc., in ultra-high temperature and aerospace applications. It has unique advantages in the field; in addition, the linear expansion coefficient of quartz fiber is small, and it has the rare characteristic that the elastic modulus increases with increasing temperature.

Properties of quartz fiber yarn:

1. Good acid resistance and corrosion resistance. Chemical properties are stable.

2. Low density and high tensile strength. There are no micro-cracks on the surface and the tensile strength is as high as 6000Mpa.

3. Excellent dielectric properties: dielectric constant is only 3.74.

4. Ultra-high temperature resistance: Taking Shenjiu as an example, the long-term use temperature is 1050~1200℃, the softening point temperature is 1700℃, it is thermal shock resistant and has a longer service life.

5. Insulation, low thermal conductivity, stable performance.

Application scope of quartz yarn:

1. Can be used as space shuttle radome, aircraft electromagnetic window, and electronic countermeasures device;
